Joseph Smooke
Co-Founder, Videographer, Photographer, Multimedia Producer & Policy
Joseph is an expert on land use, having been directly involved in organizing, legislative and planning struggles for equitable city planning in the Bay Area for decades. In a past life, Joseph was an architect for one of the largest firms in the world. He went on to develop affordable housing for and then became the Executive Director of the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center. Joseph also has international experience as a photojournalist and videographer. He has worked as editor and publisher of a community newspaper in San Francisco, and Program Director for the tenant rights nonprofit the Housing Rights Committee of San Francisco. Joseph has worked as a Legislative Aide to two of the members of San Francisco's Board of Supervisors.
